I — The name

VOTRA means a vow, kept.

The name carries the whole idea — not the promise you make, but the promise you keep.

Latin · votum

votum

A vow. A promise made in earnest — solemn, freely given, and meant.

Sanskrit · vrata

vrata

A vow kept through daily discipline — the practice that turns intention into character.

A vow made in earnest, kept through quiet discipline.
That is the name. That is the practice.

II — The house

We do not sell productivity.
We keep company with your word.

Broken promises become self-trust.
Avoidance becomes integrity.
Intention becomes a life.

III — How it works

Promise. Practice. Proof.

Promise

Each evening, one promise. Small enough to keep, true enough to matter.

Practice

The coach knows what you avoid, and names it — calmly, without judgment.

Proof

Kept word becomes a record. Self-trust, built the way bronze is — slowly.

IV — The coach

Written like a letter,
never a notification

You've put this off five days now. The work is smaller than the resistance.

You don't need another project. Finish the one you began.

This evening, one promise. Small enough to keep. True enough to matter.

V — The kept

Identity, slowly earned

I stopped being someone who starts things. I became someone who keeps them.

Member · two years kept

It never once shouted at me. It just told the truth, and I listened.

Member · one year kept

The first app I've ever trusted, because it taught me to trust myself.

VII — Questions

Quietly answered

What does VOTRA mean?

It joins the Latin votum (a vow) with the Sanskrit vrata (a vow kept through discipline). The name is the whole idea — a promise made, and then kept.

Is this a habit tracker?

No. There are no streaks, no points, no badges. VOTRA is a self-trust app — the system is only the engine; becoming reliable to yourself is the product.

What happens when I don't keep a promise?

Nothing is painted red. An unkept promise dims, quietly. The coach notes it and tomorrow stands open.

Will it nag me?

Never. The coach speaks like a letter, not a notification — rarely, briefly, and only when it counts.

The turning point
is today.
